I thought I'd share with you how the next WOT is going since I already told you about WOT Zero. Today is Sunday and that means it is the start of WOT 2. That also means I made it through WOT 1 successfully.
One of the hardest things is not knowing when something is going to happen. You sometimes know what but you're just waiting for the when.
After I had received Nathan's call in WOT Zero I knew that the next thing was going to be getting the Post Card with his address on it.

Waiting for a Post Card
It was a waiting game. I wrote him a letter EVERYDAY since getting his call, but getting a piece of mail in return for all of the ones I've written was far more exciting. His Post Card came in on the 12th which was a Tuesday. It was post dated for the 7th. (The same day he called with the address.) After doing the math it takes 4 days for the snail mail to get from Texas to Florida. The card had nothing on it except for my address and his. It was in Nathan's handwriting and that alone made a difference.
I knew that the next piece of mail I'd get was his Graduation Information. Again it was another waiting game. Here is a bit of exciting news though. If you aren't part of a Discussion Group or anything then you should be. I say this because the Air Force WingMoms Facebook Page/ Discussion Group really helped me out. The exciting part was because whenever someone else received something in the mail they'd share it. It was exciting because it gave you hope. My journey to the mail box everyday was getting depressing and when someone said they got their grad info I'd get re pumped all over again. Not only would they share the information but they'd post pictures of the cute notes. Some of the moms and wives received Mothers Day cards since that holiday had just passed. That had me super stoked.

Making Travel Plans
Within the time I got my info I made plans anyways. I had reserved a motel at Red Roof Inn for 4 nights and talked with my mom to use her vehicle. Driving was going to be far cheaper for me then to use a plane. Then again its only a 16 hour drive compared to people who live across country. My mom and younger sister are going to come with. I'm pretty sure my mom is just worried with how my driving a long way and being pregnant will effect me. After I made those plans I looked at maps of everything that was close by. The gate to enter the base is only a 16 minute walk. ( That's what Google Maps says.) I'm going to estimate 30 instead. There are convenient fast food areas too for my mom and sister for when I'm at base.
TRICARE
While I was still waiting on the Grad Info I decided to take it upon myself to figure some stuff out. Being 6 months pregnant is hard. It's even harder when you don't have insurance.
I've heard so many different things regarding TRICARE and receiving it while your trainee is in BMT. Here is what I got from all that I had researched and from calling Humana 4 times.
When your trainee goes into BMT and you are ALREADY MARRIED. ( You have to already be a dependent by marriage or by blood) You already have TRICARE Standard. The reason you can't get insurance anywhere is because you don't have proof on insurance. You're proof on insurance is on the back of the DoD ID you have to get.
I am most certain that this is where people get things confused. You are told that you have to wait to get insurance when the paper work comes in. It's not paperwork to get the insurance that you are waiting for. It's paperwork to get your DoD ID that you are waiting for.
It sucks but that is what it comes down to. I'm trying to find a loop hole somewhere. I'll tell you if I find it.

GETTING THE GRADUATION INFORMATION
I had finally received the information on the 16th. ( The post date on it was the 11th.) So, again I notice that it talks a good 5 days for mail to get from Texas to Florida. Like I said earlier, women were posting stuff online about cute notes and Mothers Day cards. All sorts of stuff. But of course my husband didn't do any of that. I just got his hand writing on the front with my address on it. Nothing more and nothing less. I know Nathan misses me and loves me. I don't need any notes or cards to know that. It would be nice though. Knowing Nathan I also know that the thought probably never crossed his mind, or if it did he thought he'd get in trouble if he did anything other then instructed.
That was WOT 1 and now we are starting WOT 2. I don't want to say its gotten easier. In fact I'd say it got a little harder. At the beginning I knew he was going to be gone. Now it has really sunk it. I also know that the time is getting shorter and I will see him sooner.
