Alright, here is my first post about something IN Japan. My first real Japanese post is about a Chinese restaurant and Ifind that funny. This restaurant is the first restaurant I went to off of the Yokota Air Base. It's literally right outside the Fussa gate.
This restaurant offers both inside and outside seating. It's the cold season currently so of course we chose to dine inside. There is only one menu per table. The menus are in both English and Japanese making it very easy to order. A lot of the really close stores to the base seem to be pretty good with English. Our waitress did really well at understanding and speaking it.
It was decorated very Chinese like although I'm not sure if the characters on the walls or decor were Chinese or Japanese.
At the end of the tables they had chop sticks along with jars with various sauces. One way soy, another sweet and sour, and I'm not sure what the other was.

(My Dish) Large Dumplings: ¥480 Pan-Fried large dumplings
(Nathan's Dish) Chicken and Cilantro Ramen:¥880
(Nathan's Dish) Dan Dan Dumblings: ¥480 Boiled dumplings with hot and spicy sauce
(My Dish) Chive Dumplings: ¥580 Pan-fried shrimp and chives dumplings
I check YES!
This was a really nice first place to eat without throwing myself into the culture. The meal was a total of ¥2,613 which rounded up is approximately $30. I really enjoyed going here and I know that I'll be returning. It is also a good place to practice your chop stick skills in food other then roman. This way you're not embarrassing yourself at a fancier restaurant later down the road.
